An Kritzinger is a consultant with a specialist background as a development economist. She holds a Masters degree in Economics, majoring in macro- and microeconomics, monetary economics, development economics, and labour economics. After completing her undergraduate studies, An worked with the Development Bank of Southern Africa as a researcher and gained valuable experience in analyses and database development pertaining to key economic indicators. Thereafter she lectured at the University of Stellenbosch while completing a Master's thesis on the economic effects of trade unions. She also acted as consultant to a sectoral analysis of the Western Cape rural economy. Other work in includes the development of an economic database for a Metropolitan Authority, a study into the formation of industrial clusters and the formulation of area development profiles. An also has experience in the training of public officials, the maintaining and updating of economic data, as well as experience with group facilitation work. She has concluded institutional restructuring work in the tertiary education sector.
