Rev Lulamile Mbete
Having previously held a number of senior positions in the public sector, Lulamile Mbete recently joined FutureLead, following a joint transformation and restructuring project at the University of the North. He is an experienced Human Resources practitioner and focuses mainly in the areas of human resources processes and systems, labour relations, conflict management, organisational development and change management. He is also a skilled facilitator of strategy development and is frequently called upon by senior government officials for assistance with this process.
Lulamile’s vast experience was gained as follows:
- Human Resources Manager at Pick and Pay for 10 years.
- Commissioner of the Public Service Commission in the Gauteng Province.
- Director General: Gauteng Province.
- National Commissioner: Department of Correctional Services.
- Director of Human Resources: University of the North.
- Superintendent General (Permanent Secretary) of Education in the Eastern Cape, where he assisted the department and the IMT to implement the turnaround strategy of the Department.
In addition, Lulamile sits on the boards of Capacity (Pty) Ltd and PMI (Pty) Ltd as a non-executive director. He is also a member of the Human Capital subcommittee of the board of Sita (Pty) Ltd.
